had that problem before when you open your car door to get out (and before you put your foot on the ground), touch the metal on the inside on the door frame with your finger. While still touching it, step out. Voila, now you can close the door without being defibrilated.

I heard engine grounding kits help alot too... may not be any performance gain, but not getting shocked makes it a good deal

Thanks!!! I have that problem too and I had no idea it was common. Thanks for the tip.

The blind spots in the roadster with the top up suck.
The stereo is lame.
The drink holders are too small and in a funny place.
Wind noise is pretty significant, but better than most roadsters I test drove.

For the money I think it is an excellent car. I would have loved something more expensive (M3 roadster) but the budget won't allow it, and I feel we get a terrific value for the dollar with the Z.

the engine grounding kit doesn't do squat to stop/reduce you getting shocked. I have one, and still get the **** zapped out of me on cool days. Sorry fellas.

yeah, but how much did you pay for it again? As an all around sports car (power, handling, looks), the Z is untouchable for the price.

I have leather too, and it shocks me as well, no matter what I am wearing. Fortunately it isn't a bad shock, but it does it none the less. I am going to try touching the door frame before I touch the ground. Hopefully it will help because it looks kind of sissy the way I touch the door now....

hmm, getting shocked, i thought it was me and my sweaters...
...i've gotten pulled over once in my life - i was in the Z...apparently it was that cop's first Z (he says he clocked me 80 on a 45 but put me down for 60)...i told him i had to get out to get to the glove compartment...he gave me a funny look, then stepped back cautiously to give me room to get out...he said "then get back in the vehicle immediately, sir"...he must have gotten a bit worried....was that the best place to put the thing?

You can scotchguard your seats and that will go away. $6 at Walmart.
It's the fabric. Found the fix over 2 years ago and posted it. Haven't heard this for awhile.

Scotchguard doesn't allow the static to build up.

Some people used anti static spray on the seats.
The stuff you spray in the dryer. I haven't tried that however.

I don't need a BEEP to tell me the keys are in the car.

I use the keys to lock it. So its a non event for even people with the Slightest of Motor skills.

21 Years of driving and I am yet to lock the keys in the car.

Never needed a Beep beofre to tell me I was in reverse either.

When that Beep sounds, I think, for CRYING out loud, are PEOPLE really this stupid they need a Tone for these things ?

The reverse Beep makes you hurry up, you think, STFU already, Yes I'm in reverse, it means I want to go backwards.

Oh, the view out the Rearview mirror is quite narrow.

Because the Z is so low, and the rear glass so angled it makes it very shallow, so you can't see the Drivers eyes behind you.

You know the When you have hit the brakes and he suddenly realises he wasn't paying attention and was sitting up your date. It suddenly dawns on him that your car is worth a lot more than his.

I like to see the expressions on there face at Moments like these.

You know it happens 5 times on the way home from picking up a new car. It seems like everyone is trying to run into your new wheels. Its like they smell fresh meat.
Oh there's one. No dings or scratches, I'll tailgate him and look all about, maybe I can be the first to put a dent in his armour.
