Default Tranny grind in 3rd when cold is that normal?

I had a 03 touring 6-speed, I started notice everytime when I drove my car with cold temp. , I had a 3rd gear grind!!....

I also notice a sound from tranny when I release the clutch, when I step on the clutch, the sounds gone...

Is that normal?? or do I have to get my tranny change???

For the bearing sound, Do I get any warranty??

My car has 44000km around 35000 miles..

Any help will be appreciated.

Matt

Yes it's normal. And yes you need to get the tranny replaced.

if that makes any sense.

Thanks for the help,

Will I get a replacement due to the bearing sound or the 3rd gear grind in cold??

you "had" or "have" an 03 touring? either way that trans needs to be replaced and it should be covered under warranty given you can get the service dept to replicate the grind. I'd suggest making them keep it over night and test drive it the next day.

yeah thats going to be the hard part... cause by the time you get it to the dealer they won't be able to duplicate it...

just jam it into 3rd gear a couple of times while driving around without using the clutch, just kill 3rd gear and they will replace it...
