normal.
it shouldn't be too loud though.....i'd take it in for service if it's annoying.

Doesn't sound right to me. I have gotten that on cars with too much pedal travel. The bearing is spining and hits the trans case then stop when it's completely disengaged and jambed into the bell housing.

I readjusted mine so that it disengages about an inch from the floor and has complete engagement an inch or so from the top of the travel. It feels like every other car that I have driven with a clutch now.

It might just be an adjustment.

is your Z an 06? there are a couple other posts about this with the majority being 06 models. oddly I have an 03 and have this exact issue. anyhow, a few have tried various fixes from pedal adjustments to lubing the various parts of the clutch pedal assembly, however the only fix thusfar involves replacing the entire clutch pedal assembly which can be difficult to get done under warranty b/c of the issue of getting it to replicate for the dealer.

no mine's an 04. it's not extremely loud but, loud enough to notice. If others are doing it then i won't worry about it i don't guess.
