Default "Cars that have harassed me and my Z" thread

I live in Northern VA and so far from my month or so of Z ownership, I wish I had a dollar for every time someone feels like revving their engine and/or peeling out beside me or other similar behavior (I've never taken the bait, though, my crazy driving days are far behind me). Assuming that I'm not the only one being harassed on this board, let's list some the cars (besides other Zs) that present problems. Here's mine:

-Honda Civic (the harasser-du-jour of car makes)

-BMW 3 Series (driven by Starbucks-drinkin', Banana Republic-wearing, snobby yuppies, of course, at least here in Northern VA)

-VW Golf

-VW Beetle (believe it or not)

-Infiniti G35

-Ford Mustang

-Cadillac Escalade (only the ones equipped with the 20+ inch drug dealer rims)

-Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

-Hummer H2 (see Cadillac Escalade)

Toyota 4runner. Taken the bait, cuz I had the exact same car and color.

It doesn't bother when people get worked up on the road, when they see my Z..

No one really tries anything that I've noticed, so I remember all three of them:

A massive lifted Ford truck

A hatchback Civic with exhaust and Bondo paint job

A white sedan, either a 300C or some kind of Caddy

I have to agree with GalvatronType_R. I live in Fairfield and work in San Francisco, that is a 56 mile drive each way.

The attention I get! ether good, bad, positive, or negative - Is a little hard to get used to, since I use to drive a Lancer ES base model.

Anyway, me and my Honda-Eater, Boxster-Beater will just have to drive the drivers crazy!!

BTW Great Thread, my wife thought is was just me!

First, the "Thumbs Up" list:

A late model Aston Martin Vanquish.

A late model Porsche Carrera.

A late model Porsche Cayman S.

A 260Z.

A Toyota sedan.

A late model Corvette.

Several 18 wheelers.

The "Rattle your Cage" crowd:

Several older Corvettes.

A Huge dumptruck.

More VW Rabbits than I care to remember.

The "Not Worth a Smile" crowd:

An occasional 350Z driver.

BMW drivers in general.

Saab drivers.

Lexus drivers.

Anyone who drives a VW.

The Worst of the Worst:

The uninsured motorists who live in their rusty old Buicks, and drive like they own the road.

A few panel van drivers who think they are driving Indy cars.

The countless number of idiots who have cut in front with no turn signal trying to shave the paint off the front fenders.

The tailgaiters who will not backoff because they are either terribly lonely, or want to get a closer look at my navigator, or have a fetish for sucking in exhaust fumes.

There was an 01 eclipse in my town that used to rev it everytime he would see me (back when I had a 01 eclipse). Now that I have a Z he just looks.

I've only been revved at one time in the year I've owned my Z. A couple weeks ago this bald redneck in Ford revved his engine at me while staring at me across 2 lanes of traffic before he turned into Taco Bell.

As for what model it was....It kind of looked like an 80's mustang....but I don't think it was. It was pretty loud though.

Mostly riced out Honda Civics and Accords with more stickers than horsepower and with more displacement in their spoilers than their engines.

I out accellerate them just to get away from thier lawn mower exhaust note.

I only get instigated by nicer cars for some reason...seems like they can see through my hood or something.

E55 AMG
new Viper SRT-10
SL55 AMG
BMW Z8
BMW M3

killed them all...

but I did have a normal Porsche Boxster instigate...not even an "S" version... so I just did a burnout right beside him on the highway going 65mph in third for a couple seconds, and he backed off...

I just remembered once on the highway a V6 accord coupe was riding my ***. So when traffic cleared in the fast lane, I floored it and suprisingly he sort of kept up. I would always have 3 or 4 cars on him as we went at it a couple of times, but i was suprised he could keep up as well as he did.
All I kept saying to myself was "I wish I had turbo's....I wish I had turbo's" I just wanted to blow him away.
