Question Repaint Question

Does anyone know on average, how much it would cost to repaint my DB Z the same color(whole car)? i know custom show jobs are $5-10,000. would a simple repaint cost the same. obviously i am not looking at a $600 1-Day paint job.
thanks.

good luck with finding a shop that charge you less than $600. With $600, you can have a front bumper repaint.

It is not one day job. They will have to sand down your whole car, prep it, pain, then clear coat then wet sand then wax. It is time consume. Expect to pay from 2K to 5K for it.

I think you read his post wrong bubble he said

"obviously i am not looking at a $600 1-Day paint job."
As far as a good paint job the prices bubble mentioned are probably what your looking at. Unless you want to use makko or something...

Is your car sand pitted badly or something? Unless your entering it into car shows, I would probably hold off on a paint job until it gets really bad.

Well if your going to spend a few thousand... y not spend another 1500 and get it done custom.. like 2 tone or something. i HATE paying to fix problems and bring it back to the way it was stock.... like if ur exhaust gets bottomed out.. id go with aftermarket>stock JMO though

just scratches and nicks from you know 3 years of driving and the notoriously crappy nissan paint. i love my DB color but it is beggining to look like my car has freckles. i mean, bumper, hood, fenders. and minor scratches on rear fenders, minor hazing/scuffing on rear bumper. i figure instead of just getting the bumper and hood, to try to look at getting the whole car done. but if its going to be like $5000+ then i just gotta live with it i guess.

Shops tend to increase prices a bit when painting Z's. I guess its that way with other sport cars as well. I had my entire car repainted for $2000..I had some damaged and the insurance company paid me enough to paint and add some goodies! ....The shop did a great job, but it took 6 months to complete. My car always stayed in back of everyones mind since he under charged me.

Well I charge $1,800 right now to repaint in the same color. *Forgot to mention, I can add a nice pearl, or even flakes if you'd like, same price as listed .*
