Default Burnouts!!!

I owned a Mustang Cobra before my Z and I could do some sick burnouts. I loved making thick smokey burnouts. With my Z I can barely make a hazey cloud. Has anyone else found this or am I just better with my old stang.

You running stock tires? Saw some great burnouts. I would go so far as to say there was thick billowy clouds of smoke. Yea, thats sounds about right.

Alot has to do with the kind of tires you have... Softer tires make for better burnouts, and harder tires although last longer don't burn out as well but make for hella fun drifting!
Also, I don't think your cobra had posi traction so it's v-8 only had to spin one tire.

I know the Z wont let you power break it...I have a MT and it cuts your rpms when you try it.

I have yokahama avs sports which are a pretty soft compound and I have a 6 speed not an auto by the way.
When I get them going they just aren't smoking too much. oh well I guess its just me. I better keep working on them in the new Z. Maybe i am not used to it yet.

Oh, by the way bombero my cobra had a LS and both tires would light up very nicely. None of that one tire stuff.

A Cobra has a lot more low end power than a Z, the Z's power is going to be a little higher up in the power band. You would need to power brake a Z to really get them smoking.

i recalll reading that if you pull the brake fuse it won't cut revs (don't drive off w/o replacing it however).

The objective of power braking is to increase engine rpm. Not necessary with a manual transmission.

After looking at davidv's post 25.3 more times, he did not mis-spell any words, unless I went to the wrong university...

I'm convinced bcm is a tool; go back to the cobras chief.

i guess you are having a little trouble with these big words. He misspelled the only word he wrote. "congradulations" is wrong "congratulations" is right.

For sillk and davidv you are some really nice accepting people since you seem to like to insult people for no reason and better yet try to insult people when you yourself are wrong.

I am convinced you are a "tool" (real mature) and my best guess is you aren't even involved in the enjoyment of owning one of these cars. You are probably full of it and one of those people who gives a bad name to the people that really enjoy being part of a car culture.
