Im Pissed!!
I just got a call from my dealer this morning with the Vin# on my car that is set to be here at the end of Feb/March. He gave me th vin and then proceeded to tell me that there was one problem with the order, The car is coming in with the aero pkg! I didn't want it b/c I was going to add the Nismo Spoiler down the road. I asked him how this happened?, and he told me that alot of 350's have been coming in with it on there automatically, he has no control over it. Does anyone know if this is a true statement or did they just F _ _k up my order and are now making excuses?
Any info would be great thanks

Don't know if this has changed but, when I ordered in 3/02, the aero package came by default with the "track" package. I ordered it separately as an opton for my touring.

Only the Track Model gets the Aero Pack by default. All others, it is an option.
I might be mistaken, but ALL aero packs (including the track) come in the trunk during shipping and are DEALER installed!

Thanks for the info. I ordered a touring and I didnt want the aero pkg. If it gets put on at the port there is really nothing I can do correct? But if it gets put on at the dealer I just simply will not have them put it on. It is just more crap to deal with. Has anyone else encountered this though?

might wanna inquire further. I havent ever heard of the aero package coming without it being ordered(actually hasnt the opposite happened?)
and they drill your trunk to install, meaning that removing it for a nismo wing might be quite a hassle. front air damn for free is nice, but not if it leaves you bondoing your hatch.

I had ordered an Aero package then backed out of it and requested they not install it. Also my aero package was delaying my delivery for my car so perhaps that made my request easier to honor.
Sorry to hear about that.

its dealer bs just get your money and walk out youll get you deposit back tey cant make you pay for something you did not order.
theres 2 things that might happen if you walk out wiht the money.
1. you wont have to pay for it and get it free of charge or
2. you buy one at another place there tons of z's sitting onthe lots
dont just sit there and take it up the a$$

If I remember correctly thoes that have the Nismo kit said that the holes for the rear spolier are coverd up by the wing and and some are even used.... If you don't mind the Aero kit too much then keep it and if no then make sure u don't get a car that has it... but regardless of what u decide don't let your dealer make u pay for it.. if u did not order it and it is on the car tell them u consider it a Gift... their mistake not yours therefore their problem.. makesure that they know that is how u see it.

Some dealers are screwing up orders so that they are not wanted and can be sold at a higher price. They expect you to wait until they order you another one. You might try contacting Nissan of north America and explain your situation. They may beale to help you.

That sounds pretty scummy, but I would not put it past some dealerships.
I would certainly call NNA and follow up with this, if you have not already done so.
If they are playing dirty, someone needs to know.
If it was an honest mistake, then they don't have anything to be concerned about.
