Default My new 350z and a good question for you all

I got a 350z like a week ago its a 2003 that had 28,000 miles. I have a question though i Opened the engine bay and the engine block? (the ceramic looking piece on top of the engine behind the plastic) looks kinda rusted i guess? I dont think its rusted its more of a discolored look. Check it out and give me ideas of what you think it could be please..

thats the plenum. it tends to fade and discolor a bit. i bet some soap and water might help. mine doesnt look that bad...did the previous owner leave the hood off?

i updated with some pictures, it might not be that bad but at the same time it bight be horrible, also, If i buy one of those aftermarket 5/16" plenum spacers, does it come with the brand new whole plenum or just the spacer to the stock plenum?

I may be wrong here but I heard flood damage is easy to hide as far as car history is concerned.

The upper portion of the plenum is oxidized. I suspect that the previous owner (dealer) used some sort of cleaning solvent. The solvent removed the plenum's finish allowing rapid oxidation. The problem is cosmetic.
