Default 350Z hood, old vs. new (photoshop)

I was bored and busted out Photoshop to see what the hood would look like without the grooves. The 350Z has so many smooth lines, with the exception of the hood... which has vaguely bothered me. Anyways, thought I share my l33t PhotoShop skills . I think I am inclined to not have the grooves, as if I have a choice...

I prefer it with the grooves, thank you very much. One of the things I love about my 4Runner is that it has these nice molded grooves on the sides of the body front and rear, while 99% of the other SUV's have a slab side that is very boring. I think it adds visual interest.

i like the car with the grooves

gives it more visual texture. plus, i think it's a throwback to the slight grooves in the middle of the hood the original 240z had.

Nice job with PhotoShop, but the grooves are what make the hood cool.

Thank god the hood doesn't look like that paint-shopped version!

Man, that was a pretty nice photoshop (I noticed that you were still able to keep all of the reflections of the trees on the photoshopped hood) . However, I think it looks a bit plain without the grooves... too smooth. Grooves for me please .

Cool

Great photoshop job! I never thought about this before and I have to say I like it either way..think I tend to like it without the groves just a bit more..I know I'm in the minority here but hey..variety...spice of life...all that

One thing you are forgetting. The hood groove(bulge)etc. is all part of the Z-ness,Z-DNA from the 240Z.

Smile Huge improvement

IMO. Can you roll out that crease in the front fender running up to the windshield while you're at it? Looks more 300ZXish...

I like the grooves better too. Makes the car look a little meaner. Too "tame" smoothed out IMO.

Good Point Rocketscientist.
