sq40, I have noticed the same thing. In strong gusts, it is pretty severe. I wonder if it has something possibly to do with alignment? A car with less toe-in would be more prone to this I would think. In any case, you're not alone. BamBam and I were coming home from an AAM dine-out one night and both of us thought something was wrong with our cars. We got back to AAM and talked about it and realized it was the strong lateral gusts that was shoving our cars around. It was so gusty that it almost fel like a flat tire and the car was sliding around on the flat.....

 

Wow... I'm surprised to here this. I was just commenting to my g/f yesturday about how strong wind gusts (35-45 here in NW Ohio) don't affect the Z. Perhaps some of you need to drive my old Contour SVT, then switch back to the Z. Or better yet, perhaps I need to drive what you've guys have been driving to better compare the Z in these situations.

I haven't experienced any problems driving my ZR in crosswinds; and it has been pretty windy here in California the last month or so.

love driving mine is wind, rain, whatever; but never driven in snow and don't want to. this car feels very solid and swift to me.

 

In 30mph gusts, every vehicle, boat, aircraft, etc. is going to feel the pain. I am an experienced pilot an refuse to fly a small airplane in extreme crosswinds. Don't sweat it in a car.
