In only one month of ownership so far, I've had more compliments and comments than two years of owning my BMWs.
The first day I had it I had an employee come out of a quick lube place just to tell me he really liked my car. I've had people in G35s, other 350s, a 300ZX, WRXs and STis, BMWs, BRZs, a Porsche Carrera 4S and even a modified R35 GTR give me a thumbs up or a nod.
The best may have been when I was in a parking garage and a father with his wife and daughter stopped dead in his tracks and freaked out at my car screaming that it was exactly the car he wants! He then begged me to rev it, which I of course gladly did.
The funniest was actually this morning on my way to write one of my exams... someone pulled up next to me and I could hear him trying to say something over my music... I turn it down and he said "Yoooo sick car man! One of my buddies had one of these and we were drifting and I thought I was gonna die!" I laughed but felt a little bad for that Z.
I don't even remember half the compliments this car gets, but it's amazing to see how many it does get. Even pulling up to my local weekly meet it'll draw a crowd of people coming to look at it every time... not to mention the number of heads that it turns just driving it every day!
Here's the car, by the way.
Oh, and of course, the most important thing of all - the girlfriend approves.

VarrsToen ES 3.2.2 (I know, I know, they came with the car - plans are to replace)
19x9.5 front with 235/35 Toyo Proxes R888
19x10.5 rear with 295/30 Toyo Proxes R888 (now replaced with 265/35 Michelin Pilot Sport)
-2.7 degrees of camber front (SPC camber arms)
-3.5 degrees of camber rear (SPC camber arms)
Tein MonoFlex coilovers
Rears rubbed with a full tank and spare parts in the back on the way home... no problems and plenty of clearance with the 265s now. Thinking of going for 275s next time, though.

I actually forgot the best compliment I've received so far!
When I first brought the car home I posted a picture of it on Facebook (which received 60+ likes, not bad...) one of my friends commented "Is that a car? all I see is a p***y magnet".
I laughed harder than I should have at that.

My girl was driving it home from the car wash (I was behind her in her Altima) and a homeless guy was like "ayeeee nice car!!!". That was funny.
Dude pulls up next time either drunk or high out of his mind and was like "that ***** is cleeeeeean"
Another homeless guy told me "nice wheels!" Just chromed 06 08 wheels.
Told a girl at work its an '03 and shes like "wtf, your car is 11 years old? I thought it was just a few years old."

Children seem to like it - most likely since they don't know the true age of the car
(which can be deceptive if well taken care of and waxed often enough). I have to admit, while the Z's interior looks like a mess of plastic, the exterior styling does turn a few heads. It's aged well thus far.

Had an older fellow go crazy over my car last night and even asked me if his wife could sit in it. He loved how it looked and said back in the day he owned several twin turbo 300ZX's and wants a newer Z when his back is better (was in a cane). He thought it was a $40,000 car but I said no its a $12,000 at most and its an 03. He was extremely surprised.
He was talking to me like I owned a Lambo lol..

I park my toy in front of in-n-out burger (pic below)
I go inside and stand in line once i get to the front one of the employees empties out the trash and sees my car runs to the guy at the register and the rest of the staff, saying guys you all have look out that door over there....
I stand there and ....order fries and a shake... and call it a day...
