My infamous Rock Chip (PIC)
I have a ?
Why were you driving behind an SUV anyway?
One lane road? Overtake the soccer aka football mom!
Two lane road? You should smack your self!
Three lane road? You need to learn how to drive!
Four lane road? You should just jump off a buliding!
Peace!

i can understand that rock chips will happen with driving. what i dont understand is why nissan paint peels of instead of just simply chippin away. wait, i do know the answer: cheapness and large vertical orientation of the bumper.
i thought about repainting it and getting a clear bra but i think i am just gonna get it repainted every 2-3yrs. 500-800 for clearbra is too much.

also, the color wont be a 100% match because one is a fresh coat of paint, and one is 3 years old
That is a HUGE chip.
It will require a body shop to get it fixed properly.
As for my front bumper - i will have it repainted if i keep the car long enough to warrant that work.
But considering the overall broad design of our Z's bumpers, there is no doubt that there will be chipping - regardless of cheap paint or 20 coats of clear coat.
On that note - I am heading out right now to get another coat of Zaino on her!!

I got you beat...I have one on the door handle drivers side that is about that big. Huge chunk taken out of the aluminum. Good thing I have comprehensive insurance as I think I need to get it replaced..

kinda funny. when i was sixteen i had a 69 cougar eliminator 390 ci. anyway i parked it in a dirt lot one day and took off spinnng the tires. well a golfball size rock flew up and knocked out the rear side window of a older ford explorer. score one for the good guys. ohh yeah!!!!
I feel everyone's pain. I have had my Z since the end of sept, and in addition to the usual chips on the front I have 4 spots on my GLASS where the is a small chip!! How messed up is that? I hate living in Virginia Beach where the traffic is horrendous.
