Default Louder engine on start-up?

I have a popcharger so I think it is more noticable, but during the first 5-10 minutes I notice that my car "growls" a little louder. It quiets down around the time that the engine temp is at normal. Is there a correlation between the two? Just curious.

When you start the car the idle rpm is up by a couple of hundred. When the engine warms to operating temperature, the idle falls to normal.

when the car is below operating temp, the computer changes the timing, A/F mix, ect. ect. to reduce emissions during warm up, so that might have something to do with it...

the exhaust is cold.. thats it. When its cold, the metal gets a nice metalic sound to the exhaust tone. I wish my car sounded like that all the time :-D

Yea when cold it idles ~1500 or so, the prime RPM for the exhaust tone..but once it warms up idle falls, and there goes your exhaust tone... lol

Anyone notice that once you drive/shift aggressively it's much easier to drive/shift more "normally?" Anyone get me?
