Most likely they do not want to reuse the old gaskets. Just give them $20 for new ones.

That doesn't sound right, have you talked to the service manager? Keep moving up the ladder and see where you can get. Also try filing an official complaint with the Nissan North America (NNA) or Nisan Consumer's Affairs.

This will help get the ball rolling. Good luck.

are you missing the gaskets? if so, that's why.. as for me, i have the stock exhausts and i'm getting a few recall/tsb/warranty things done as i'm typing.. they provided new gaskets for me, but like i said i have stock exhausts so maybe that's why

The gaskets taht are supplied with 99% of aftermarket exhausts are not reusable...

IF nissan were to do this on a car with FACTORY exhaust they would have to replace the factory gaskets (by the book)...

If they are doing this on a car with a exhaust that the dealer does not have the gaskets for or have a a NISSAN Part number to bill out then they will not remove the exhaust in risk of the customer then getting an exhaust leak and blame it on the nissan service...

If you can supply with new gaskets then there will not be a problem...

Then the nissan dealer will bill out the NISMO Gasket Kit part number...

If it is a NISSAN Part then you should not be charged extra for the gaskets or anything else effected byt he warranty work...

If it is a NISMO Part like the S-Tune Exhaust where the replacement parts are available to your local NISSAN dealer then you will not be charged for the extra gaskets etc...

If it is an AFTERMARKET Part and a new gasket must be supplied... then that is where the owner will have to supply the gasket...

interesting, the dealer didn't say anything to me about needing a gasket for my JIC exhaust when they did the fuel hose recall. of course that could just mean they didn't replace it...
