Default Eletronic Controls. HKS, Greddy, or APEXi?

Well i am thinkin about gettin one of these ECU, piggy back. I heard you can get a lot of HP and it goes well with whatever your doing down the road. I feel that THe computer really helps the motor out. I just want to know and sugestions, has anyone get a controler. like a APEXi AFEC? or HKS? or Greddy. anyone got an opinion of them NEG or POS i just want to kno which one works is the best for a N/A setup...cant afford turbo yet... but N/A is something i can play with right now..but once i can afford turbo i kno i'll be ready for it...=o)

go with either the emanage ultimate or the utec. You'll want something that allows you to not only adjust the air/ fuel ratio, but also the timing. Apexi can't do this and is the more limited of the 3 in tuning capabilities. Don't know much about hks. If you honestly think you're going f/i in the future go with the emanage ultimate.

By HKS do you mean the VPRO? That is nearly a $5K setup installed and would be an awful waste on an otherwise stock Z. I don't know that HKS makes any other EMS. Honestly, don't mess with any piggy backs. Just save up for FI if you are serious about it. Going FI will cost a minimum of $8K for the single turbo setups and closer to $12K for the TT setups. You'll also need bigger wheels and tires ($4K), a new clutch/fw ($1200 installed), guages ($1K installed), and upgraded radiator and oil cooler ($1K installed) with any of the setups to be safe. You'll probably want some suspension mods at this point as well as a BBK so ad another $7K. If you seriously never see yourself putting $20K-$30K more into your car, then let the idea of FI go. Just mod your brakes and suspension and get your car to a track and throw it around. Doing all the bolt-on mods will get you to near 300rwhp with an EMS and tune. That will also cost you near $6K.

Yea, both you guys are in for a shock. Nevermind all the people that have gone FI and paid. I am sure you know better. You can get a Greddy kit for under $4K huh??? I am sure that will be complete. You don't have to believe me. All I have are reciepts and have seen many other people's receipts. You go for it though. Would you mind posting what you believe are the parts you will be needing along with their prices? I can fill in the gaps for you. That goes for either of you. I'd like to see this fantasy turbo system of yours.
