Maintenance schedule question for everyone
Hey guys...I did a search on this and all of the threads were 2 or more years old...thought I'd ask again to see what everyone is doing. Wondered what long term 350z owners were doing as far as following the maintenance schedule. I have 6700 miles on my 05 and just did my second oil change(first one was free at the dealer, did this last one myself) and wondered when you all have first brought in your Z to the dealership for maintenance. I don't drive the car too hard..actually use it daily for a 40 mile round trip commute. I was thinking of doing what I've done with my 94 Honda Civic which is to change the oil every 3k and bring it in for a "tune up" every 15k. I bought that car new and still have it today with 162,000 miles on it and it still runs(and looks) like new. I plan on keeping the Z forever(honestly, I'll give it to my son someday) and want to keep it running well. So what's everyone else been doing? Thanks in advance for your help.
I have 70k on mine. I have done nothing to it. Besides fixing what I broke when I hit a curb... I change the oil every 3k miles or so. I am using about a quart of oil every few thousand miles.
I have replaced the brake pads once, replaced the tires once.

If you are using synthetic oil then I believe that you can change every 7500 miles. Most of the items listed on your maintenance schedule are "inspect" and not chnge, but keep all of your paper work for any warranty questions that may pop up later.
