If you had a choice between a new 350Z or new 300Z TT, which would you take? Of course you could not find a 300ZX TT wih no miles on it but assuming you could, which one would you prefer to drive?

I'm a big fan of the Z32 TT....

but a new 350z without a doubt!

More aggressive styling, a tad lighter, more nimble and just less early-to-mid-nineties gadgets for me to worry about. The 350z brings back some of the classic 70's 240z flavor that made the "Z car" so appealing back in it's day.

The "ZX" cars (Z31 and Z32) steered away from that with a more plush grand touring type of style. I really don't care about the power of the stock TT's. I honestly rather pay more for a TT 350z.

no trick question, I often read people stating they bought a 350Z because they wanted a 300 TT when they were new or how awesome they were thus I sensed some 300 envy...

Well in that case I would have to say the 350z, modern interior and exterior just got me hooked. Although having a 300 zx on the side would also be a thrill!

that's not a fair race...since once is turbo and the other isn't.. how about if you do NA 300ZX vs 350Z and 350ZTT vs 300ZXTT...

Z32TT All the way. Much better quality of construction. More effort put into engineering (4piston front brakes, etc.), not a victim of platform sharing. The Z32TT would be priced more like $60k today IMHO. It was a technological tour de force. The 350Z is a sweet ride but is much less costly and far less exclusive. Too bad most Z32s are in crappy shape or heavily modded these days.

I believe I've said that too, one time or another on these forums.

Only for nostalgic reasons though. It brings you back to the early nineties.
But new century....new Z.

A new 300zxTT..Having owned a 90 & 91 300zx TT before the 350z I am a little biased. The 300zx quality both interior/exterior is unmatched next to the 350z but price has a lot to do with that. Plus when it comes to modding 1000 on a 300z will get you almost a 100 more hp. But once they get up in age the maintenance is insane (turbo replacements/ timing belt/ electrical compoenents). But for the price is 350 is hard to beat.

The 300zx TT was my attainable dream car growing up. I told myself (age 14) that would have one some day.

Though not quite the same, I feel that I have fufilled this aspiration with my 05' 350z.
