Military Z owners inside....
Quick question...Where does everyone have their base decals on the windshield? Right now I've got them tucked all the way down in the bottom corner on the drivers side of the windshield. The problem is that around 50% of time going onto base I get harassed by the guards saying that it's not authorized to be there.
I like to have the Z as clean as possible with no stickers. With it right in the center, I think that it's a huge eye sore. My choices are:
1. Put it right in the center of the windshield.
2. Put it on the front bumper....no way in hell!!
3. Keep it in the corner still and move it a couple inches up so it's a little more noticeable, still taking the chance of being harassed.
Should I just put it in the center and suck it up? Any suggestions?

Each state is different. Where you say you have your sticker is where I was suppsoed to have it in MD, but in VA you either put it on the left side of your bumper or in the middle of the top of the windshield. They tell you at Pass and ID and also have signs up that display where they go.
As long as you center it well, it won't look bad.

I have mine right above my Texas inspection and registration stickers on the drivers bottom side of the windshield. I can care less really what they have to say so thats never been an issue. Raise it up a little more so that its more noticeable and see what happens. Good luck

It depends on the state. I know in VA you have to have your base stickers in the top center of windshield which looks retarded. Now that I'm based in CA, I was able to move it to the lower left. Also, I'm sure you're aware of the no radar detector rule on bases too. I always get harrassed by the MP's for that one.

driverside, bottom. just above the vin for me. I was in Ft Riley KS.. no problem ..there.... PCS to Fort Lewis, WA also no problem here.... i still have Fort Riley decal on my car..... none of the guards have given me any trouble yet...a lot of people here have their the same way I do.
USAF here and have it below the VIN as well. It really shouldn't matter as long as its displayed. Maybe try to locate a MP/SP on the forum and ask for the written rule/law/instruction.
They tried telling me the same thing when I was stationed in Texas, but on the car I had at the time, I showed them that it would get knocked off by the wipers, and got to put it on the lower driver's corner. On my Z, the security people had to put it on, and it was on the lower driver's side. Personally, I prefer it there, because it is slightly hidden, making it less likely to be targeted by the lovely military haters out there. Besides, if they have to bring you to a complete stop to check your ID anyways, why bother putting it at the top of the windshield?
Ive been in San Diego for 5 years and Ive always had them on the lower drivers side (1 Altima + 2 Z's) and I put the FA/PO stickers on the windshield too, hate them on the back glass. I do know in VA its on top in the middle or on the bumper, no way! Ill keep mine where there at till they make me move them. And I can always say Im TAD or something and Im coming back to Cali. Funny my wife is at NMCP and she has hers on the lower corner. VA needs to get their act straight. Well see what the MP's at Dam Neck have to say when I make my presence known. I have a colorful history on that base
But now I have a Redline Z instead of DB so I might slip under their radar

Thanks for all the comments. I think that I'm just going to try and move it an inch or two higher in the corner. Before I really had that thing buried in the corner where it was kind of hard to see. I just can't bring myself to put it right smack in the center.
