Premium only. I tend to use Shell, 76, or Chevron -- all "top-tier" gasolines.

I tried Arco, and while it was a bit cheaper, the gas mileage also dropped a bit. It was enough of a drop that it was just about a wash between Shell (more expensive) and Arco (slightly worse gas mileage).

Oil prices are over $70/barrel, so what about expensive motor oil? Can I pour the motor oil through a stainer and use it again?

Like somebody said, there isnt much difference in price between prem and regular when you fill up...plus our cars really should only be getting prem fuel.

well i am going to complain about the price of gas because although it might be higher in other countrys, Exxons former CEO just got a $400 million dollor retirement package. So all you who say we shouldnt complain because its not that big of deal are just saying you dont mind getting Raped in the a$$. If you dont use premium you could get problems with engine knock because lower octane gas doesnt burn as long and could ignite premature in the cylinder from what i hear.

Gas would have to reach 8 dollars a gallon like Europe before I stopped filling with Premium. Even then, I would rather just park my Z and look at it until I could afford the next tank of gas.

and why would anyone ever use regular unleaded, if you dont like the fact that premium is 30 cents higher than just dont fill up, put a lesser quantity. its all the same price when you see the difference in MPG

Yes. Even thinking of putting anything less than premium into the veins of my Z sends shivers up my spine.

It kind of cracks me up 350Z owners are acting like money does not matter. The bottom line is most people here would be driving an exotic sports car if they could afford it so the bottom line is the cost of gas and the cost of a car (be it $35,000 or $65,000) matters. If you dont think so, look at how many posts where Z owners here go on and on about how they wish they could afford even a M3.

Seroiusly, you shouldn't own a Z if you're not willing to put premium gas in it.

If you need to save $3-$6 per week that badly, you should switch to a Toyota Corolla.

Honestly, I could care less how much gas is, and yes, I can afford an M3, I simply chose to be different. Have you seen how many 3 series are out on the road in SoCal?
As for those complaining about the cost of gas, a good deal of them can barely afford the car note and insurance, then gas prices went up. Personally, I do not see myself changing anything about my driving habits due to the higher fuel prices. If the extra $5-10 a tank hurts your wallet so much, buy a moped. I hear they get excellent gas mileage.
