Default So I was washing her..

And there was lots of bird crap due to the fact I had it on the roof of my garage for a day. And get this..a bird ****ing scratched the hood. WTF?! A bird? It has the strength of a twig! And I know it was a bird, when the crap slide right off, there it was, in all of its glory. Thin, unnoticeable at certain angles, but def there.

It probably didn't scratch the paint, it etched the paint. That's what happens when you let bird droppings, bug splats, etc. sit on the surface for any length of time.

when I was washing my car, I find all the little paintchips and discoloration due to road crap. This is why I hate washing my car

Is there anyway to get this etching off? It was on there for maybe 2 days, albeit, in the sun.

Buff it out? Move ur thumbnail over the scratch.. if ur nail doesn't get caught where the scratch is, then u can simply buff it out. if it is a deep scratch, though i doubt it is, and ur nail gets caught, u'll most likely have to sand-and-paint to do it correctly. touch up paint works well to. but usually it can be taken care of with a careful buffing out.

Let it breathe out for a couple of days, it will disappear.

Do not put water on it, it reactivates the acid in the bird poo.
