What gives???
Find me a car that does not have problems, and I'll show you a car that has not been driven.

None yet. But then again I have 387 miles on it. Oh, wait.... I just washed it and it was dirty by the time I pulled out of the driveway. That's what you get for buying a black car. I guess that's why they call it "Magnetic Black" because dirt, pollen, streaks, grease and most importantly girls are uncontrolably attracted to it.

You know, ever since I bought my Z I have never doubted for a second that it is an extremely well designed and made japanese performance machine. I have no doubt whatsoever ten or fifteen years from now we will still them going fast. And God knows I've had and do have issues with mine. In time I have learned to respect it for what it is and not look at the negatives, which for me are really few.

Makes me go broke? :-P

I have my fair share of issues with this car as well and many are already listed. I still like the car, but am awaiting for the new G coupe.

The G is heavier and slower. But you probably know that.

only problem ive had was the lil vibration that comes after u let it roll from starting ( i think its because i got a 5 spd and the Z gods have cursed me) and i am never ever ever getting a black car...damn this. im already tired of cleaning and ive had the car for only 2 months!!!

I had the hatch problem but the dealer put new springs on it under warranty and its now better than it ever was. I think Nissan may be using a different part now.

The OEM tires and brake pads suck... just replace them with something better when they wear out.

1. Too sexy.
2. Too much damn fun to drive.
3. I want to drive it all the time and it costs me more than a gf with price of gas.
4. I want to auto-x it all the time and spend more money on that.

How are you comparing a car that costs anywhere from $20-40k new and used to a car that is going to cost well over $60k for a 2003+?

besides the replacement of those two feathered front tires and two power window regulators under warranty, my 3/03 Z runs like a dream at 20k miles with hardly any rattles and squeaks. Best car i've ever owned the last 15 years.

i've had a few problems but fixed them under warranty, tsb, or recall..
-the stock bose unit still skips every once in a while though, but the cold temperature causing it to not play at all seems to be gone but who knows?
-the dealership messed up on my windows and now they don't tuck into the roofline anymore!!! thas probably my main complaint right now..

Throwout bearing makes some noise like most everybody else when the car is cold but I actually like the noise now, cuz when I give it a little gas with the clutch out, the RPM's raise and so does the noise frequincy and it sounds like a blower

Clutch has stuck 3 or 4 times but it only does it under a certain type of driving style.

Shifting is a bit notchy for my taste.

My only real complaint after 2.5 months is the garbage paint on the hood and car in general.

Only other complaint so far is that I can't mod it fast enough.

A hatch problem???

Hmmmm is the hatch suppose to open up ALL the way open when you press the key fob button?

Mine only pops up enough to unlock and raise it enough to lift it up open by hand.

Once I raise it all the way open, it stays there.

-bumper and hood chips to easily
-Bose broke (cd player is jammed)
-door rubs on sideskirt sometimes, but it's an aftermarket sideskirt so it's not the car's fault.
