i guess i dont get it. What joy do people get leaving their z in the garage? Its not a ferrari.

Serious question, would love an insight into the mind of a person who loves the 350z but puts <30k miles on it in 5+ yerars.

He's doing what you're supposed to be doing with a car...driving it. And 115k on a Z doesn't mean "time for a new one".

I just hit 115k yesterday and I've enjoyed each and every mile

83,xxx and still no problems, engine is smoother than my 05 Frontier with 25,xxx even

I blame shitty regular gas with ethanol in it for the latter though.

Well from my pov, I dont want to drive it in the winter nor do I really want to drive it everyday. I enjoy taking it out when I feel like it and the car stays nice, less maintenance etc. Plus I dont expect to keep the car forever so I will get more money out of it when I sell.

Not to change the subject, but my Z was doing the same thing, and as it started warming up outside, they started holding again. but as yours are, mine are starting to get weak. But only when it gets cold. I will soon replace mine too because I'm getting tired of the indention I am getting on my back. By the way, I have 48,900 on my 2003 touring.

76,000 bought it from a guy that drove from Laguna Beach to Del Mar every day so racked up tons of highway miles, because of the high mileage got a nice price, cherry condition.

I have 30K on mine. It would have more but it's always in the shop. Plus if you have a z you are building and adding fi to, you can not expect to drive it everyday.

Plus I have a Land Rover, Acura TL and a Harley. Have to drive them too.

well the odometer says 40k, but i replaced the pistons/rings/heads/all gaskets, so it's at 5k on those parts. Had a piece of metal that was inside my new manifold that i had purchased and well long story short start up car metal goes into engine and gets stuck between cylinder wall and #6 piston...

These are two very good reasons for the low miles, that i didnt think about. Thanks for the responses. Seeing all the low miles made me feel a little bad about putting 40k on my DD 05, but i seem to be in a different situation to the average low mileage Z owner.
