Replaced engines? What? I haven't heard of many except for the FI folks that go nuts and blow something. The stock VQ is a rock solid beast.

how often are you in boost? .... that's gotta be new record of a VQ engine lasting that long with a TT kit.

If you read through this thread in its entirty, you will see a number of people talking about replacing the engine itself...I too didn't find it uncommon to see FI people blowing a motor, but otherwise I thought the VQ was solid. I guess I am a little confused about how many engines have been blown without FI.

I run the standard 5.6 boost and I use it every day. It is my daily driver. I auto cross/track about 4-5 times a year. The insatll and tune was done by the folks at SP-Engnieering they are great.

I have not had engine problems, but I have had the tranny replaced and 7 yes, 7 window motors... Otherwise it has been ok in the reliability department.
