Interesting the 350Z owners caution about black, but choose it over all other colors except silver.

Go blue.. so much more sporty. Everyone does triple takes when the car is clean. After the flood there isn't to many z's around here so blue pops...

did you ask dealer what would be the difference between 06 and 07 models?

Yes. He said that there wouldn't really be any difference as Nissan is really busy with other models that they are coming out with in 07. They also made several changes for the 06 model so he said they probably won't touch it. Since I don't want the car right now but want it in the fall, there is no reason for me to order an 06 when i can order an 07.

Get the Blue. I have a PPW and find myself adoring the DB.

Didn't read the posts.. but uh, Black looks agressive on the street and Blue looks freakin sexy..

and yes, black is **** to keep clean. is your garage dirt free? if not, it'll be dust covered 30 min. after you wash the Z.. so if you have the time and effort to wax the Z weekly, go SB.. I did and love it..

Just buy a 20 dollar car cover, it may require 5 minutes to take off and store and 5 minutes to put back on but it saves you alot on car washes. I have a black '06 350z and i wouldn't trade it for the world.. In the end get the color you like.

Work smarter, not harder. My MB Z looks great after a week plus without being garaged and driving 3-400 miles per week (weather notwithstanding).

Swirls and scratches are a bigger concern. I would advise against black only if you don't know how or don't care to take the time to properly care for your car.

I agree. Blue looks nice but I would not want to look at it every day.

Black and blue are both a chore to keep clean black a lot more so but black is a classic timeless color.

But we all know redlline rules anyway!!!!!!

No I don't, but it's the first black car I've ever owned and the amount of work to keep it clean is more than I anticipated. When it is clean, however, it looks better than any other color.

I'd buy it again.

This is true. I wash my magnetic black ZR, put it in the garage and the next morning I have to go over it with a California duster.

When it comes to sports cars [Corvette, M3, 350Z, etc], the manufacturer usually waits till the last minute before informing the dealers about the new model year vehicles. It helps both the manufacturer and the dealer, to sell the remaining stock of the current model year vehicles.

Well, I have black.

Honestly, I think blue is the WORST color on the Z.
It needs to be a deeper shade, more midnight blue.

The best: Silverstone, Red, Black.

I just think DB is too pedestrian looking. And I drooled over a DB Nismo Z for several days. But I really don't think the dirt issue is significantly different between the two.

As a designer, I'll just make some comments that probably come across as snobby, but so be it.
The Z has a geomechanical style. Black does a good job of smoothing out the car's lines. The car has some awkward angles and joints.

Red blends well with the taillights, which looks cool, and that didn't cross my mind when I bought black.
Silverstone probably is best, but I always think of German cars in silver.

My two cents.

A study of 31,000 crashes in Sweden found that black cars were involved in 22.5 percent of the crashes even though black cars made up only 4.4 percent of the vehicle population, which meant that black cars were five times more likely to crash. According to the same study, the safest car color was pink.

Or just about every other car on the road. WAY too many cars in silver, black, and white. Thats why I chose DB...it helps make the car stick out just a little more. That, and I've always wanted a blue sports car.

It's a no-brainer: LeMans Sunset. Period.

Black- too common.
Blue- come on...
