Didn't read the posts.. but uh, Black looks agressive on the street and Blue looks freakin sexy..
and yes, black is **** to keep clean. is your garage dirt free? if not, it'll be dust covered 30 min. after you wash the Z.. so if you have the time and effort to wax the Z weekly, go SB.. I did and love it..

Just buy a 20 dollar car cover, it may require 5 minutes to take off and store and 5 minutes to put back on but it saves you alot on car washes. I have a black '06 350z and i wouldn't trade it for the world.. In the end get the color you like.

Swirls and scratches are a bigger concern. I would advise against black only if you don't know how or don't care to take the time to properly care for your car.

I agree. Blue looks nice but I would not want to look at it every day.
Black and blue are both a chore to keep clean black a lot more so but black is a classic timeless color.
But we all know redlline rules anyway!!!!!!

This is true. I wash my magnetic black ZR, put it in the garage and the next morning I have to go over it with a California duster.

Well, I have black.
Honestly, I think blue is the WORST color on the Z.
It needs to be a deeper shade, more midnight blue.
The best: Silverstone, Red, Black.
I just think DB is too pedestrian looking. And I drooled over a DB Nismo Z for several days. But I really don't think the dirt issue is significantly different between the two.
As a designer, I'll just make some comments that probably come across as snobby, but so be it.
The Z has a geomechanical style. Black does a good job of smoothing out the car's lines. The car has some awkward angles and joints.
Red blends well with the taillights, which looks cool, and that didn't cross my mind when I bought black.
Silverstone probably is best, but I always think of German cars in silver.
My two cents.

My two cents.
A study of 31,000 crashes in Sweden found that black cars were involved in 22.5 percent of the crashes even though black cars made up only 4.4 percent of the vehicle population, which meant that black cars were five times more likely to crash. According to the same study, the safest car color was pink.
