Default What could be wrong???

My car was involved in an accident about 3 months ago, and the car had no problems at all before the accident. Now I'm having really bad electrical problems. I was driving and out of nowhere my gauges all go dead, but the car is still running. Then my accelerator cuts out and the car won't rev at all, but the engine still continues to run. When I turn my lights on, the accelerator problem gets even worse and hardy even works. Then I turn the car off and try starting it again, and it won't start. I don't think this problem is due to the accident because the shop I took it to was horrible and they didn't know what they were doing. I took it to another shop and they found a few things wrong. The alternator wasn't charging properly, which would probably explain why the car's accelerator would cut out. Alternator is fixed now, and the car starts after I turn it off, but my guages still die. The fuse for all of gauges and stuff blows about every 10 min, and I've been replacing them, but still no use. Does anybody have the slightest idea of wtf can be wrong with the car?

Any input would be great!

Thanks

why not just contact the insurance company that paid to fix the car from the accident. If it is accident related it is still covered by the insurance. Problem solved.

Just an off-the-wall possibility, but may be when they did the bodywork they left a ground connection loose. Other than that, maybe a major harness got pinched in the accident causing some shorting. That might explain fuses blowing.

I'm going to place my vote for the possibility of a short either that happened during the accident or during the process of repair.

translation, call the insurance company and ask them to take care of your new found problems.

The other guys insurance company already paid for everything (accident wasn't my fault), but now its not a matter of paying for it, its a matter of finding out what it is. A good shop that I took it to had the car for about 2 weeks, and they found some stuff, but still the fuses keep blowing. We took it back to the original shop twice, but both times they hadn't fixed a damn thing, so I'm going to stay away from them (which the insurance recomended them).

It was the right-front side. The engine was not damaged at all. Only damage was some body damage and the suspension on that front-right wheel.

I did get Xenon headlights put in, cuz my Z is a base, so I dont know if that may have anything to do with it, but I realy don't think so. And if it helps at all, my car is an 03'.
