Damn! Lucky *****! I am in West Palm Beach, Florida... I see as many Z's as I see mustangs! Most are bone stock, though, so with a few mods, you can really make yours stand out... but you win.

 

Well... I was going to wait until August to buy a used Z since a new model year is coming out and I was thinking I could get it cheaper. Do you guys really think this movie is going to drive up their private resale value? If so, I need to buy one soon!

 

Like someone said...those who were modding Civics were doing it before F&F, it was after F&F that it got retarded, the bigger the spoiler the bigger the moron. I think that was what bothered me the most, I started out with a civic, that I bought on my own without my parents help and after F&F came out there were so many out there (and a number of them copying what I'd already done) that I got sick of my civic, which was very nice.

My hope for this F&F is that kids don't devaluize (if that's a word) the Z, by buying the outragious mods that make it look like a joke. The sickest Z's are the ones that have those subtle changes that follow the natural lines of the car.

I agree with Spartan, people will always find ways to fuq up sweet lookin cars with idiotic mods, no matter how much we want people to respect the greatness of the Z as it is, some a-hole will put some stupid as& wing on it and then stand by it like he's kool.....F&F III or not, this has and will happen...we may see a growth of Z owners, hopefully they will join this site and truly understand and appreciate what they have before they fuq it up....i liked F&F I, it was kool, but I did not run out and mortgage my house on a Supra, and thats almost what you have to do to rice out a Z.....and like it's been said, there aren't many people out there who can afford it....

 

well, its a good thing. if the Z gets too popular, hopefully the price of the cars will go up like Supras. If the price goes up, i'll sell it to some kid and buy a different car.

 

I am not worried what will happen after the movie comes out. I bought the Z because it was the car I wanted. I am sure there will be a few people rice them out but they would do it no matter if the movie came out or not.

 

First the Z is already popular, and unlike the 93-98 Supras and 93-95 RX-7 weren't even being imported over here so it was more of a reason for young people to go and buy them. Since the 350Z is still in the making I doubt we'll see much except maybe someone buying a body kit from the movie or something?

 

I'm still hoping it helps re-sale values.

 

I Honestly dont think there will be a backlash of idiot kids running out to buy a 25K+ sports car just to 'rice' (sorry for the term) it out. If anything, anytime one of those kids in his cavalier, teg, or civic sees a Z, it'll be more of a respect thing..................errrrr at least im hoping.

 

Re-sale value, I hope it goes up since I have one, but I seriously doubt it. When Supra were selling at Toyota dealership, there was maybe 1, or 2 in the whole lot. I know this because I used to service my MR2 at the dealership frequently for oil change. I would always look for MR2s and Supras in the lot, usually they have more MR2s. I was looking at this brand new Supra SE (Automatic) for $29K, but was too young and too expensive at the time. Recently, when they had the 06, this dealership had around 20, maybe more. I don't think anyone have seen 20 brand new Supras at anytime at a dealership.
Civic is not a Z. Remember S2K was also the feature car, but you don't see much on the road. 2 seaters are expensive and non-practical, Civics are the opposite. I've seen riced Z already, but we can make it look as clean by taking care of them.

 

I hope they rice the **** out of them. Maybe shut up some of the guys who think there **** don't think cause they own a Z. Like it's some kind of prestigious club. It's a NISSAN for christ sakes get over it. Not like it's a Lotus or Lambo I mean come on you own a nice car YIPPIE FREAKIN DO DAH

omg......I live in the Boston Suburbs, center of ricers, I myself got "payed" to build half of them. I just see it is a very busy summer

 

we should all vow to try to get rid of al the 350z ricers that will try to get on this forum after the movie. lets stand strong

I am more afraid of all the teenagers who go out and try to drift on public roads after they see that movie
