Do you plan on doing many track days, autocrossing, drifting, road racing? That is the only time you are ever going to need a 6MT. The AT is fine for straight lines. It is also fine for driving in traffic. It will hold anything that garbage Stillen SC can throw at it. You can always do a valve body upgrade and change out the gears if you ever get to that point. Are you looking forward to the burning up of clutches and inconsistent shifting that you will be giving the 6MT?

so you signed up for this forum and now you realize you should have gotten a 6mt... i don't want to say peer presure but...
Though I wish I signed up for this forum before I got my Z... There was an awesome Z for sale about a week after I bought mine here on the forum that had rims, stereo, and low miles for a pretty good price... I swear I am going to get my next car on a forum.
Ok I just got back from the dealer..in order to get the same payments as i am paying now just for a BASE I gotta put 5k more down and my payment months increased meaning the past 6 months the payment I made went in the trash...I think Ill just wait for a while hahahha
Yeah just wait for the 06 6MT. You will be much happier with a 6MT. Revup's respond better to mods anyway so that should end the debate about which engine is better (287 vs. revup).
