It is going to vary from car to car and dyno to dyno, but 246rwhp sounds about right.

It depends on the car, mileage, dyno, atmospheric conditions, among other things. My 2005 Track at 21k bone stock did 268whp and a couple of 2006's on the same dyno, the same day, in the same conditions, with the same settings on the dyno did around 260whp or so.

My engine was of the 300hp Rev-Up variety, so if its a manual or auto will change the outcome as well.

wow...what were your conditions? do you remember? Thats the highest whp I've seen on any stock Z.

Also..why is the mileage so high on the 05 car?

268 WHP? You gotta be kidding. Only 32 HP loss from the crank? Where you get this number?
On an average, 20% hp is lost from crank HP to wheel hp.
300 HP at crank ---> 240~250 hp at the wheel

It was around 70*, low humidity. Here's the thread:

https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissan-350z/188423-finally-got-a-baseline-dyno-on-my-z.html

It is the highest I've seen as well. Other rev-ups were dynoing nearly the same as well.

The mileage is high because I bought it in Miami and drove it back up to NJ myself. Then in Feb. I took it on a road trip to Tampa and back. Its also my daily driver and I frequent autocrosses, which are anywhere from 100-300 miles round trip drives for me.

I just love my car. High mileage doesn't scare me, as long as you properly maintain it.

Number was achieved at MRC motorsports... the post below yours contains the link to the dyno sheets.

And average drivetrain loss is 15-17% from what I've seen.

But your Z only lost 10.5 percent? There's just no way a stock Z hp is that high.

 I don't know either man. Like I said, a couple other 2006's dyno'd close to my results, so at least it was consistent.

Are the numbers probably a little high? Yes. How high? I really don't know, but even if its only really putting down, say, 258whp, thats still damn good!

This was on a dynapack, which are connected to the drive axles. If a dyno where the wheels turned rollers was used, it would be much less... and in the expected area of around 240RWHP.

actually it wasn't a dynopack, it was a dynometer which uses the tires on the car. I dynoed 260whp w/ aps 2.5 TD exhaust, APS tp, kinetix SSV, jwt popcharger. Results are consistant. A few stock and lightly modded 05's were in the 240ish range, which is average. He just has a 06 stock beast!

Ya I have seen this happen actually on my local boards at www.cincystreetscenes.com there is a guy that has a freak of nature Z not sure if it is a 2003 or 2004 but it is the highest rated Z from the factory he has smashed modded Zs when only stock if you search for 350z on the board it will show a ton of kills he had and I believe he dynoed 273 to the wheels...

Aren't dyno's really just supposed to be a way to gauge whether or not mods have worked or not? I was under the assumption that they arent very effective for <300 hp? Correct me if I'm wrong though...

If your referring to my dyno, it wasn't a Dynopack. It was a Dyno Dynamics.

I will be returning soon to MRC to get re-dyno'd. They want to confirm their settings were correct and see if those numbers I produced really do hold water. I'll keep you guys posted.
