Here's the thing...I think a Z is tough to "rice" out, here's why...

My oppinion on a car riced out is:
1. Sounds like a lawnmower
2. Numberous body changes with little to nothing under the hood
3. Large spoilers that do nothing for the car but attract attention
4. Any muffler greater than 5 inches cus that's just gay!!
5. White boys driving the car with a bandana around their head thinkng they are gansta ****

I've been looking into new exhaust and find it hard to find one that makes the Z sound like a lawnmower, the Z already comes stock with a good deal amount of power, so unless some home boy decides to put a huge *** muffler on his Z and a Spoiler the size of a **** stars **** then a Z won't be "riced" out.

Body kits can be done in good taste, and for the most part Z owners are more matured drivers (from what I have seen) meaning the body kits choosen have been in good taste.

i bought the veilside ver 3 kit (whichc cost me a arm and a leg) and its a very bold kit. make me stand out alot, but its clean. it came with the ver 3 spoiler but i thought it was to rice. ppl think im crazy for it but i thought it looked to big and it looked just rice to me, so i bought a new one that flows with the car better. the vizage is kinda big but subtle

remember form and function always go together....form w/o function on a car is a "nono" IMO.
regarding stickers....if your not being paid by the sponsors, you're offering free advertizing space on your car...lol, btw it's not a crime in doing so.

Maybe my words were a little bit huge, when i say full body kit, the meaning of this was HUGE and UGLY thing, i was not aiming all bodykits on the market..

My Z is pretty stock and i like it that way, i used to have an acura which i modified alot and now i will turn to inside motor parts instead of outside look, cuz it already have a nice kicking *** to see
Noted: also i would like to appologize for jumping to conclusions prior to explanation.....and to the rest of your post.....I agree

I'm not a fan of F&F and I'll be the first to admit that there are plenty of riced out cars on this site, but after seeing a few pics from F&F3, there are some pretty good looking Zs on there. Yes, some of the cars are overdone, but that's just part of the movie.

I agree to some extent, but it's safe to say that many on here, including myself, cannot fully drive a stock Z to it's limit. (I'm referring to a road course here.) So by your argument, even a stock Z can be rice.

Some people get BBKs, coilovers, but never take their cars to the track, but not so sure I would call those mods rice.

If a car is cleanly modded, I don't think it should be referred to as "rice."

I think the Veiliside V3 kit is the perfect example of a nice/rice kit. I love the non-widebody. But, the widebody makes almost any car look like rice (ubless you have 13" rims in th back and fill up the holes in the overfenders and and and...)

The spoiler he ? Still don't know if I would put the V3 CF wing on my car, and I drag race my car...

Rice is a very played out word. Meaningless if you ask me. There are, however, horrible looking cars, from HUGE wings on a 95 Civic with 95Hp to pointless graphics, and a parts list on a car that the car does not have the parts to back up...

That's just my .02 cents.

my opinion of rice:
spoiler on fwd
cut springs
body kits that don't stay on right
stickers that hide the car
putting an 8 inch tachometer on the dash
having screens in the headrest in a z
having a crazy body kit without getting bigger wheels or spacers to match up with the fenders
suv drivers driving (while endangering other lives) like their cars can perform like sportscars (accelerating, braking, handleing)

rice = anti-sleeper
*
as far as all the other stuff, it's a persons opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

last time i checked all Z's had some power under the hood. Not saying that i havent seen some Z's that are tacky in my taste, but they are not riced out. that would be the wrong term to use.

Does an interior like this qualify as well, or are we talking only from the outside?

you may drive around and point out cars u think are too riced
but with ur bodykit (if u have any and no matter how it looks) some other people may also point you out as too riced

Rice is anything that does not improve the performance or enhance the looks of the car. Just look at muscle cars, when they are really fixed up there are interiors with new materials, gauges and electronics. They usually dont have wild body modifications and things that make em look more like a hot wheels toy.
Plus there are so many cheap stuff for imports that are sold in the market, Walmart, target, pepboys thats absolutely useless.
