After F&F multiple threads.. In your opinion, what is a riced Z ?
Big spoiler for me is the baddest thing i dont want to see on a Z and full bodykits are so lame.. IMO
What you guys can considerate as something rice ?

I wouldn't consider full bodykits lame ... some do look bad but some are awesome (example - Cwest and Ings). I just consider any cheap and tacky mod to be ricey. I do think some exhausts look pretty ricey though..cant think of the name of them though because I pay no attention to them.

i cant believe you just said that body kits are lame on a Z. I would love to see what z your drive...and on your 11th post ......pretty bold....and im no VET (to the boards at least)
Wings, particularly the big aluminum jobs. The Nismo wing is probably the only one I find even remotely tasteful, but even that isn't for me.
Most body kits.
Some exhausts. Can't think of any off-hand, but one that stands out in my mind is the single system with the big fart canister that sticks out sideways. Total rice. I remember a couple years ago when I first test drove a Z, some punk *** kid pulled up to the service department with that setup. That almost turned me off to the Z entirely. Raspy exhausts are pretty ricey too.
While it doesn't really bother me what other people do with their cars, I'll admit that I fell some sort of disappointment when I see a Z that's been "riced". It does give the car a bad image, as if it's in the same class as a Civic.

BTW, your's isn't too bad, pretty tame and subtle, therefore not too ricey. Works well with black.
I don't think that body kits on Z's are lame at all... I'm personally getting the Nismo kit(no wing... Never a fan of Z's with wings)... (friend selling his shop so he told me to get it and he'll help me install it and paint it for free)... I don't really think that there is anything you can do to a Z that would be considered ricey... The word "rice" is used too often and most of the time misused... and about the exhaust... I like the Smooth sounding... so that in my mind is not rice at all... but the raspy sounding kinds are in a way rice for me... IMO
I would not like to hurt any little sensible hearth on this forums, just giving my opinion and thats it
Maybe my words were a little bit huge, when i say full body kit, the meaning of this was HUGE and UGLY thing, i was not aiming all bodykits on the market..
My Z is pretty stock and i like it that way, i used to have an acura which i modified alot and now i will turn to inside motor parts instead of outside look, cuz it already have a nice kicking *** to see

cdwriter: its OK to say "Intega" on these boards. Yeah, some people will flame ya, but a lot of people will know EXACTLY where you came from, having been there themselves.

Big aluminum wings on almost any car are cheesy -- but refined body kits can be pretty slick on a Z. My per peeve for ricey exterior mods? Match the freakin COLOR -- I hate it when they've put on a big aggressive kit and then either left the kit white, or did a cheap paint job that doesn't match the body color properly.
(edit: WAY too early in the AM to be typing on a laptop)

Eh, whatever floats your boat I suppose. I'm into the aluminum wing look on pure track/drift cars, i.e. the ones that have twin turbo kits and put 500+ at the wheels, have light-weight 18" wheels, lightweight aerodynamically tested carbon fiber body panels (painted to match of course), and a stripped interior to shed a couple hundred pounds.
I'm NOT into aluminum wings on street cars.
I'm also not into exhaust systems that make a V6 engine sound like a 4-cylinder.

And on a purely grammatical note: I am REALLY not into the usage of the word 'rice' in this grammatical context. Here is a sample sentence:
"I am thinking about buying this spoiler, but I'm afraid it might look too rice."
I hate to be a grammar ***** but since when can you use a noun as an adjective? I realize 'ricey' is not a word as defined by most major American English dictionaries, but in my opinion it would be better to create and apply a new word (ricey) instead of using an existing word in the wrong grammatical context. Here is another example using the same sentence structure, but substituting some words:
"I am thinking about telling this joke, but I'm afraid it might sound too corny."
Correct!
"I am thinking about telling this joke, but I'm afraid it might sound too corn."
Incorrect!
Sorry, having a bad day here and nobody at work will listen.

Oooooh, and roll call stickers. You already paid them x-thousands for the wheels and anyone who appreciates that sort of thing will know what they are by inspection, so why advertise?

1. Big Aluminum Wings
2. Stickers all over your car pronouncing all of your mods (or supposed mods)
3. Cheaply applied body kits with massive gaps
4. Oversized fart mufflers
But hey some people think that the car is an extension of themselves and they have to over compensate for small packages!

"The term rice burner or rice car or ricer is a derogatory term most often referring to automobiles (usually economy cars) that have the appearance of a high performance car, but often have little or no functional modifications applied, such as an improved engine, suspension, or brakes. This practice is in contrast to the "stealth" or "sleeper" style of automotive modification, where a vehicle may have major internal modifications for greater performance, but the appearance remains similar to that of a stock model. Almost any vehicle can be modified in this manner, but the most common vehicles are usually the sport compact models from most major automakers.
Some people will call any Asian made vehicle a "rice car", frequently derogating them in favor of U.S.-produced vehicles. There is also some confusion with the term "rice rocket," which refers to a fast car, sports car, or sport motorcycle from Japan. Alternatively, the term "rice burner" is also used derogatively by American bikers to refer to foreign-make motorcycles."

I don't want my Z to look like a civic.
