hey guys, so i go to Americas tire after seting up a deal with them on some 20 inch black rims for the Z. I pay the deposit and go on my way since the rims wouldnt be in for a couple days. 30 min later i get a call back from them saying that the 20 inch wheels wouldnt fit. now i know i have seen some 350 Z's on here with 20's. so i have some questions:

what offset do you have?
what tire size?
do they rub?
are you happy with them?

they just lied to you. Lots of us here use 20"

1. 24+ front/ 29+ rear
2. 255x30x20 / 285x30x20
3. NO (even after drop more than 1")
4. YUP.

I would recommend something like:

* Axis Matrix (if you're on a budget) wheel + tires : $2300
* Volk GT-C (mid range) wheel + tires: around $3300
* Maido GR5 (bling factor) $$$$

What does the diameter of the wheel have to do with whether the wheels fits or does not. 16-inch wheels or 20-inch wheels, what does it matter?

If you are depending on a wheel retailer to tell you what will and will not fit you are in trouble. Study the offset calculators posted in the wheel forum. Study offset and tire diameter and clearance. Don't be lazy and rely on someone else to do it for you. Besides if another forum member tells you that this will fit, and you buy the wheels and they are the wrong size, who is going to pay for the wrong wheels? You or the the other forum member?

thanks for the reply david. even though you dont have the fact your opinion is valid. i have beem doing the research and thats part of what i am doing here. first hand knowledge of what other think and have. it was nismo that told the tire guy that they would not fit and the retailer or wheel company that said they do not make an offset to fit the Z. Although many claim do be experts on many things when talking about cars i do not. You are the type of guy that would not stop and ask for directions at a gas staion if your family was lost am i right. i have no problem asking and here i am. But thank you for your help i will check the chart you mentioned!! THANKS to everyone it really did help!!
