19's with no drop. Concur with the too many potholes and high drive ways! Plus I don't think it needs to be dropped, looks good as is. Then again, my humble opinion.

I didn't drop it either. By dropping it you have the headache of going through potholes, elevated driveways and possible camber problems. I have a Vette parked next to me, and the Vette sits higher from wheel to fender. I can put my whole hand in it. Changing subjects, I just read a Sports Compact Magazine about myths of aftermarket parts. Surprise about brake kits, but knew about the 19s. They said, going 19s slows you down, best go 17s. This is for racing, not building a showcase car.

Now that's something I didn't know about the 19's. I don't plan to lower mine either when I put the 19's on, or maybe put them on. Could you post the issue date of the magazine an the name of it, unless that is the name. I'm really interested in getting it to read up on this issue. Thanks

Any rims without lowering = 4X4 look, some look better than others depending on the sidewall they run, but it really looks bad. Lower first then do rims, or do both at the same time.

no true. There are some 19" wheel that lighter than OEM wheel. again, it is your car. Do whatever you need. Just put in 19" wheel and see how you like it. If it looks ugly then drop it.

+1 the lighter aftermarket 19" wheels, but the overall wheel diameter and tire width does change your gearing as well as the amount of revolutions per minute. So there is a change in performance. Doesnt matter how much the wheel weighs, but the transmission has to work harder for the same amount of torque being distrbuted for the higher diameter wheel.

put a dropped z next to a stock z, end of story. gotta be dropped. i see a lot of responses about potholes. your gonna hit them if your dropped or stock, what's the difference? and the driveways, my teins are set to the lowest and never had a problem yet. just learn how to approach steep driveways.

Volk Progressiv Spokes, but there are a couple that look similar (now, since I got these).

I find "approach" to be fine, but "exit" to be another issue. I get in without scraping (except for one time where I cracked the front, heh), but I often can't get a good angle leaving. This is with a low front bumper which sticks out though. The stock one should be fine (most of the time).

I prefer not being lowered just for looks, I prefer practicality.

Now why does everyone run 35 profile tire on the 19's why not run a 40 and close that gap a bit, might look better if its not dropped on 40 profile then 35....
