Good luck with that! When I had my Supra registered out of state, it only caused more probs. BTW, it doesn't matter where your cars are registered at. The CA cops can give you a ticket for ANYTHING that is done to your car which is deemed illegal in this state. Doesn't matter if the state that you have the car registered says that the mods are legal.

Never had a problem since I am military, no problems what so ever. Had a modded car in Cali for 5 years previous to the Z.

The Highlighted part in your quote is also not correct. I have friends that are on the San Diego Police Dept and part of the anti racing task force that explained it. If you are not a state resident and have out of state plates then CARB does not apply!

Hmm... CARB maybe, but they can still ticket you for lowering, tint, exhaust, etc.

NO THEY CANNOT! only if your exhaust exceeds 95 DB. TINT also applies to what STATE your car is REGISTERED in. You really need to get your FACTS straight before posting.

Please don't tell me that I don't know what talking about. I've been ticketed for exactly these offenses with my out of state plates and license. I've been to court over them as well. I am giving facts, not speculation.

If that was the fact people coming from AZ for a vacation to DisneyLand would get tickets for their TINT!

but whatever man, you are not worth the time to argue this.

You're such a condescending ***! You think you know it all, but have no proof other than "my friend who is a policeman told me so". I have been through it with the cops and the court. I tried arguing your above quote as well and the cops said that the law was that I had to adhere to the laws of the state that I was driving in, not where I was from. This was further backed up by the court when I appeared.

Just cause you disagree with it, doesn't mean it's not true.

And in most states. An officer can not pull you over for tint. It is known as a secondary offense. At least in Delaware its like that. I would go 20% btw. Not to dark, but dark enough. I had 30% on my old car and i wanted just a tad darker. And im not fond of dark tint. But 20% was ideal. GL

I agree that you shouldn't worry about the legality of the tint... just get what you want. I have 15 rear/rear sides and 20 doors & banner, never a problem. It is dark at night, but you do get used to it, it's not that bad.
