That's hilarious Top Gear nominated it car of the year...
No i hear you...Like I said, I enjoyed the 06, but have never tested any of the other years... So knowing that he tested an older model, I was just asking if there was that much of a difference in the other years. It's just up until now, i've pretty much respected his opinions. It seemed like he already had his mind made up before he even drove the car... And it looks like he wasn't even trying to drive it hard to get any fun out of it...
I've seen that 5th gear episode...I love the way Tiff drives the Z. That's definately entertaining.

To answer your question, yes, most of his opinions are biased, unfair, and quite ignorant. Don't let that tool discourage you.... it's just a tv show and they pay him to be an opinionated idiot.

Actually, Jeremy is a very good writer, you should read his articles (you can find them online). So what if he doesn't like a car that I like (and own), he is funny as hell and I probably watch top gear as much for the humor and funny commentary as to look at the cars. Also if you watch the show you'll know he's not beyond owning a car that is a piece of crap - the Ford GT - which he proclaimed to be the least reliable car in the world in this season's opener. He said he has never gone anywhere and back in that car. Hopefully you (meaning anyone) buy or not buy the Z because you test drove it and liked it and it worked for you, and not because of only what other people say or think about it.

There was an Audi TT VS 350z Shootout with a guy from top gear I forget who it was, but he loved it...
It's a great car, but I think some of the drivers ether
A) Have a butthole tighter than a baby
B) Are so used to driving exotic cars they practically **** on everything

Cool, just watched it. He reallying didn't complain about the interior that much. He had really two complaints, no traditional glove box and the flimsy nav door. Hardly an insult to the interior.

Yeah, when I watched that I just kept thinking of the one where he compared it to the TT and said that it was so much fun he didn't want to stop driving it,

Jeremy Clarkson also talked some trash about the new M5, then when he finally gets to flog the car, he loves it.
I don't think Nissan let Top Gear flog the Z when Jeremy reviewed it, since it was some sort of prototype or special european media car at the time.One of the reasons why he talked so much trash about the car in the first place was because most of the review was on superficial and subjective things like the way it looks, quality of interior sound etc.... not how it really performed.
He also wanted to get a rise out of his cronies because they loved the car.
Clarkson finally warms up to the Z when he drives the crap out of the roadster version almost two years later. In fact, they have a LIVE stage show with Fifth Gear in the UK where Clarkson actually drifts a 350z on stage.

Because Lotus is built in England and the 350Z is built in Japan.

His main gripe with the Z was Nissan's link to the French car maker...Renault. He slams on the french every chance he gets.
