Dear Nissan,
First of all, let me say that you have built a great little car. You have drawn me away from my Porsche roots and I am still very happy.

However, I have a favor to ask.
Next year, for the '04's, please, please, please put the two buttons that operate the multi-function gauge on the "lest hand side of the steering wheel (Opposite of the cruise stuff).
Then make it an available upgrade for those of us stuck with the cluster mount buttons.

It would be soooo much nicer to be able to operate these functions with my left thumb. Especially the stop watch function.

Just an idea....

That would mean making a separate pod for the U.S. Don't forget that the button positions are correct for right hand drive.

In Japan, the shifter is on the left. Hence, timer on the right. They forgot to swap for the U.S. version. Kind of like the Mars Lander, metric v.s. standard resulting in a big crash.

Thats good I knew there was a reason I'm living in Australia! (Right hand drive).

We actually have quite a few left drive cars on the road.

Well, I see what you mean about the instrument cluster, but I still think they should have put it on the steering wheel.

It doesn't bother me that much either. I just think of all the cool things I could do if it was easily pressable with my thumb.

I tell you, Nissan should hire me.

Two enhancements I would like in the cockpit are (1) to have a horn button on the left side of the steering wheel (opposite the cruise controls). This may sound unnecessary, if not stupid, but my defensive driving habits carry over from years of riding motorcycles and learning to fly (planes, not cars).

(2) Also, the clock on the radio/CD is about useless. Should have been an LED option on the gauge - or a separate LED clock up where you could read it.

OK, horns and clocks. Not needed for the track. So call me a goober, but Nissan could have done better.
