you defiantly need winter tires. It snowed it texas once and i tried driving on it and i was sliding around EVERYWHERE but i had the summer tires on and im not used to snow that much.

 

oh yeah - also go with the 91 octane. For $3-4 a tank fillup difference why risk it. I completely understand the desire to have a sports car, but realize that getting into a Z is going to cost more than a normal car. Tires, Insurance, Gas and repairs are just a few of the things that are going to cost you more over the life of the car versus an Acura. If you want to the get the Z make sure you take into account these things. If you budget is going to be stretched getting the Z I say wait until it is not as tight.. But then again life is short. Thank you for giving me all the answers! It will cost some money for some extra winter tires. The winter Dunlops run for about $1000 total. I can get a set rims for about $600. They don't have to be expensive because a Z does not need too much Bling to look awesome. Would you guys agree that the tires are a good investment anyway because they will extend the life of the stock tires? I do understand that the Z is a true sportscar and that is what I like about it.

 

I say snow tires are essential to drive in the snow and they will increase the life of the stock tires so overall they are a good investment. You may want to take a look and see how much you can get a winter beater for also. For $1600 you could probably get yourself a Suby or a Toyota and drive that in the winter as well. Otherwise the seperate rims and tires are a great idea and will help save you some time and money. The smile you have on your face everyday you drive the Z will pay dividends as well. Good luck.
