Default What would be the cons?(CF)

I looked around and mostly what I found was not what I was looking for. I am considering going all carbon fiber. So far I have seen the hood, fenders, front bumper, rear bumper, hatch, doors and pillar covers. Oh and mirrors. So basically the only parts that would stay black are the roof and the rear fenders. My question is if there would be any cons to doing this. Other than financial. I kind of just want to see how it would look all CF'd out. Thanks to those of you who give real input.

I concur. I bought a Carbon Creation front lip. The thing is so fragile. I can't believe I spent so much for it. Yes it looks nice, but if I break it be nicking a parking curb (I tapped on and put a crack in it), I will never buy another one. The same goes for the Radiator Plate Cover thingy. The crap cracked the first day I got it...Looks nice though......good luck...db

The idea is nice i have got to say but try checking how much each CF part weights compared to stock. I have heard of some of our car's body parts to be lighter than aftermarket CF parts. From first hand my current CF hood is heavier than the stock one.

If you are not doing it for weight purposes than it is a great idea. I wish I could do the same. Please make sure to post pics as it will be an awesome sight.

Now the cons are in the safety area. Thats the only negative sight to this project.

Good luck man and I hope you dont forget to post pics.

Thnaks for the feedback. I didnt consider the safety aspect of it. I'm getting a roll cage regarless so that'll help. And I definately dont want to add more weight to the car. Do you guys think I would have any trouble matching the carbon fiber tones. I have seen different "shades" around.

if you want to get all dry carbon, just sell the Z and get a ferrari or something, 'cause all dry carbon will cost an insane amount...that's the only way you'll actually have real weight savings...it would at least look awesome as hell though...go for it either way, but wet carbon won't give the weight savings

I'm not trying to go dry carbon because of the $$$$. Mostly just the thought of driving around all CF'd out is what has me wanting to do it.
