People its just a question don't spaz out and start flaming.

Nobody said the engagement point had anything to do with "handling the power of hp", whatever that is supposed to mean. Generally the more hp the engine makes the more clamping force the clutch needs to have to handle it, which a lot of times is associated with more pedal pressure.

I'm not sure why they raised the engagement point. I don't even know that they did for a fact, I'm just assuming the people claiming that are right. Nissan might have done it because a lot of retards don't press the clutch down far enough. Maybe nissan linked some tranny damage to people not pushing the clutch down far enough so they rasied the engagement point? Just a guess.

like you said "SMART GUY " (I would make it bold if I knew how soo I can feel cool JUST LIKE YOU) generally the more hp the engine makes the more clamping force the clutch needs to have to handle it, which a lot of times is associated with more pedal pressure. soo what (LIKE I SAID B4) vipers, 911's etc. are the same way just becuz they have a lot of hp in other words they all have hard clutchz?

It wuz a question "SMART GUY" so there wuz no need for you too start spazing out but I guess with your 500 post and typeing in bold letters makes you "COOL"

D@mn!!! I hope I get to be "COOL" some day!

The original clutch in my car (before tranny replacement) was very stiff with a low engagement point.

After replacement the clutch is much softer with a high engagement point. I'm guessing they put in a Post-03 clutch when they replaced my tranny/clutch under warranty.

Interestingly enough, I've driven a couple (2) friends Zs as well and I don't think one of the clutches felt identical...

Moral of the story from my experience is that the feel of the clutch is going to differ by model year for sure and maybe even within a model year as the clutch release point, etc. can be adjusted...

Don't worry about what your friend thinks. After all he is not buying a car you are.
