A girl from NNA called me the other day, she was quite American. She said that the call was "regarding maintenance for your 350-Zed". I almost asked her to repeat herself just to make sure I heard right.

No personal slant... but when I heard the call letters for a rock radio station in Kansas as 93.5Zee... I almost ran off the road laughing. I asked my GF beside me what sounded more masculine... Zee or Zed... and she replied.. "sorry to say, but Zed does".
And that leads me to my next favorite question posed by a famous British comedian... Why do so many US state names end with "as"??

Since it was designed in America, and American's pronounce it "Zee", and Nissan representatives refer to it as "Zee", the correct way to say it would be "350 Zee".
That aside, it would be tough to break habbits of other languages.
