I was at the dealership this morning, and they had a black track and a silverstone touring. Both had Rays wheels on them, but only the track had the Brembos.

I asked if this was something that the dealer had done, but they told me that those were the wheels that are coming on the touring model now.

Anybody heard anything about this?

 

nope.... it was a dealer add-on most likely.

 

jeez dealers are idiots, so how much was the rays package premium? their like 1300 a peice or some insane number from nissan, Id bet they were charging 4grand for the rays rims upgrade.

 

The GM of the dealer where I bought my car said people have asked for the Rays rims and his parts department had to quote them close to 6k for the set.

 

There was no markup on this car. They said it came to them that way. I asked more than one person in the dealership, too.

If the Rays ARE coming stock on the touring i am totally going back in to complain my azz off until they swap mine for the rays. Theres no way i am going to sit around getting ripped off because they decide to change their manufacturing process half-year like that.

yeah its not... track owners would be pretty pissed as well, they just paid 800$, and gave up leather and bose so they could have brembos....

that would not happen, and will not happen.

like I said, if you do not already own the Z, buy it, it is an incredable deal, tho I have a feeling somewhere along the line youll run into someone that knows what happens when they tell you theres a 5000$ markup on the touring track model.

 

The dealer is an idiot. I just got my Z 2 weeks ago and no Rays. Because Z's don't come with Rays.

 

somebody screwed up at the factory. Are you going to buy it? Personally I like the look of the rays!

 

Jeeze, I hope they screw mine up like that...if it's true. I wouldn't say a word and drive it away with those nice, light Rays.

 

my theory, someone bought a TRACK and liked the looks of the touring wheels more, and asked the dealer if they could switch the wheels (thus the NO mark-up on the Touring), and the dealer did. We would hear a TON of people talking about this if the touring came with rays, from the factory.

Rays are on Track versions only

Sharks are on the Touring

and the Fins are on the Enthusiast

IF a Touring has Rays its cause someone changed the rims.

Perhaps there was something wrong with the Sharks and they ordered the Rays by mistake.

highly unlikely that they will place rays on the touring. if they already have them on there, then by all means get the car!! it is a great deal only if they dont add a ridiculous amount for them.
