Default Clutch Clunk?

I have searched the forums but haven't found much relating to this issue. When rolling in first gear (traffic, parking lot, etc.) at single digit speeds the transmission sometimes makes a loud clunk when I fully depress the clutch if coming to a stop. A loud disengagement sound? Plus it doesn't do it all of the time, and only does it in 1st gear. Does anyone have this problem or any advice on what it might be?

It's an 06. Thanks

i have an 06' too and noticed that as well... not too worried about it. Also, noticed whining from either the tranny and/or rear end... not sure if its always been there or it just started... i just recently noticed it. Drives fine though

Wired, why don't you search and post the enormous amounts of information you find regarding this topic??

Better yet, humor us all and explain it yourself.

Why don't YOU search for "clutch noise" if you think it hasn't been discussed. (Hint: it will max out search results at 500 hits)

Lots of reading material.

If you want an explanation, I would blame the chatter sound when disengaging on the dual mass flywheel, which is basically 2 flywheels in one. When one flywheel is turning at a much slower speed than the other, as is the case in engine braking, then you release/disengage the clutch, they chatter together as they go back to spinning at the same speed. The chatter does not seem to occur when you are driving at a steady speed.

This is the only explanation I could come up with. If it's wrong I'll gladly hear an alternate explanation.

Edit: Can I get an "owned" please? Thanks

No. That has to be the most implausible theory I've heard on the matter.
