Hey can somebody help me here... I'm about to replace my stock muffler on my Z for a lighter, higher flowing one.. Two Qs... 1) What's the size of the stock inlet and outlet on the stock muffler? and 2) Got any recommendations for the best bolt on replacement? Thanks!!! Confused in Houston

While I don't know what that is off the top of my head...a few minutes of searching will turn up an answer. I'll see what I can find...

On a side note, I'd post your question once and wait for an answer instead of jacking other people's threads...you will get impaled hard for that around here.

Well....it's closing in on my bedtime, have to call an end to the searching. I couldn't find an exact number but I believe it's slightly less than 2.25 inches. Not 100% sure though.

For the best....you'll get answers all across the board. HKS, Injen, Borla...blah blah, the list will go on. It's really what you're looking for in sound and possibley looks. If you want to go F/I down the road look into a 3" and save yourself a few dollars later. The power gains on most are about the same. Some will clam 12-15 extra horsies but I wouldn't bet on those ponies.

Head over to the exhaust forum and start reading, also plenty of sound clips you can listen to as well.

Good luck finding one you like.
