Dont get a vette... or any other car... mainly because you are going to LOSE a ton of money when you trade it in...when you go FI on the Z... wow its a big difference... i dont know about the A/T, but im sure you will be VERY pleased with the results. and since you have a daily driver, you will have a second option if something goes wrong... just depends on your cashflow...

Not necessarily. If you chose to get a car and got a zo6 then you wouldn't need to fix it up at all. It easily hits 170+ and does around 12.3 in the quarter stock. Not only that but it turns well, and the brakes are... delicious.

Now if you went the FI route in the Z I think you would be spending a lot more money just to get the same performance that the zo6 gets stock. I am not ******* FI'd 350zs but I am just trying to be reasonable.

And also, I think a used zo6 will hold value a lot more better then a TT 350z b/c everyone knows you've beaten the hell out of it more then usual and once you go FI the engine's not going to last as long.

hmm....interesting...you both have good points...but i dont know...i mean even if i do the F/I on the Z...there are other sport cars out there puttin up big numbers for performance and Hp...thats the killer...every year...something comes out that is faster/better etc...which sucks in a way for a Z owner....

Well, just my opinion, but if you want boosted and you want Nissan, wait for the GT-R coming out in a few years. Lock the money you do have in a CD until the car makes its debut, trade in the Z and use said money to buy the GT-R, and you get a warranty. (Although there is no guarantee that the GT-R will be boosted).

Mfanello, I am 22, just got done with college and started my "bigboy" job. I suggest doing it. I just put the exhaust intake manifold and CAI on my car. Now comes the stroker kit and NOS. I am staying away from FI but its not because I can't afford it, rather I want to stay with all motor, and have a computerized wet shot for the quarter mile. I think you should go ***** out and do it. You only live once. I have driven turbo charged cars (STI, Z28 twin turbo'd) and I prefer all motor vehicles thats just me though. Definitely take a ride in a turbo'd car period and see how you like driving it. It doesnt have to be a Z, just make sure you like driving an automatic turbo charged vehicle.

The last two posts are today. The ones before it are dated 2006. Are you trying to set a record for resurrecting the oldest thread?

I hope the OP has made up his mind by now about what to do with his car.

200 shot of NOS! /thread

we should meet up sometime im down in the Shore area. FI would be the only way to go for the Z to be extreme in ways, but is it really worth it???? I could use that mone in many more ways to invest rather then spend it on a dated (!!!!!automatic!!!!!) Z now.

You are in college - keep your eye on the prize (your degree) Why intentionally do something that could get in the way of that? I know far too many people who are "car poor" and again, many who are "house poor". They have a nice ride or a nice house but no money left to do much of anything. A car is a depreciating asset no matter what you do to it and modding should only be done with disposable income, which you, like most college kids, do not have. Wait until you have a job after graduation (and there are no guarantees of that now days!) and then worry about having the fastest baddest car around (which is unachievable to begin with for 99.99999999% of people)
