Thumbs up Got That Annoying SQUEEEK In your Clutch Heres the CURE!!!

First off i thought i was the only one with this problem but i guess i was wrong MAybe the MODS can "STICKY" this just to help others out. OR NOT

HAHAH LISTEN TO ME VERY CAREFULLY I Just fixed this problem on my z not to long ago THe creeking sound is completely GONE!!! I used WD 40. THe thing is you have to get down on your knees and if you look far enough you can see a spring WAAAYYY in the upper left hand corner behind the clutch pedal and spray right on the spring.

These pics will show you where to EXACTLY SPRAY!!! Do this and that annoying SQUUEEEEEEK is GONE BYE BYE CYA GONE!!!

Thankz man, was wondering what the source was of the sqeek. I usually only have it in the morning when it is cold but goes away after about 20 shifts. Will give this a try and have it gone for good

This is a common problem with all clutches. I have always done something similar to all the stick cars I've owned. I normally use white spray grease (you can get it thru almost any dealer and it comes with a nozzle similar to WD40). WD40 will work, but the squeek will probably come back again the next winter or sooner if a cold snap hits. The grease lasts longer, but you will need to put some paper or an old rag around where you are spraying, as it will shoot through the spring and hit some other surface under there you don't want it to. Just needs to be sprayed on each end of the spring where it contacts the metal linkage. Be advised that from my experience, the squeek will always come back. It may be years down the road, but rest assured it will return.

Oh by the way, what is all that rust on the clutch linkage in picture #2? Are you peeing under the dash on long trips again?
