Auto show in Spokane - DB 350Z
I just hit the car show here in Spokane. Now for those of you saying.. Spo wha? Spokane is a small po-dunk town in Eastern Washington. Second largest in the state, but whoopee, like it matters. haha 400,000 people or so I think, very blue collar.... very tech backwards, about 3-5 years behind everywhere else it seems.
Anyway, we have a car show in town so I head down there and they had a Daytona Blue Performance on display from Wendle Nissan. Nice car. I was looking at the s2000 prior to heading over to Nissan being that Honda is beside the door. I made a comment to my friend about racing an s2000 in the 350Z and smoking it. There was this guy looking at the s2000 standing there listening in on what I was telling my friend. I turn around and he's gone. I get over to Nissan and there he is, behind the wheel with his girlfriend/wife in the passenger seat. He's explaining to her about how he was driving a 350Z once and beat the s2000 so that's why he wants the 350Z.
He turned his head and we made eye contact, and it was like thje lightbulb went off that he knew I heard him. He smiles and says "whatever it takes man, whatever it takes." HA! I couldn't agree more.
I met the leading 350Z salesman for our area at the show, great guy, VERY personable. Rich Neyman is his name. If anyone is ever looking in this area of Washinton, give him a call (509 468 9000). I know when it's time for me to do the deal (hopefully sooner than later) he'll be the guy I call. MSRP is a good thing.
Then it happened.
I saw the Infiniti FX 45. Holy mother of god this is one bad looking vehicle. Created on the same FM platform as the 350Z, capable of a 0-60 time of 6.3 and every bit as mean looking as the 350Z. If I was a SUV kinda guy.... no question. Blows the doors off the Murano. If you haven't seen this, I don't think you should go looking for it unless you can afford to have it parked next to your Z because I can almost guarantee one of you out there will see it, want it, get it. It's that cool.
Ah well, just my recap from the day. Compared with big city auto shows, this one seriously sucked. I did get to see the FX 45 though and anytime I come in contact with a 350Z is a good day for me as it is.

when I was in the navy, stationed in hawaii, I flew a communications 707, fighting the war on communism. Spokane was our favorite stop out of all the west coast cities. You guys have the best girl:guy ratio anywhere. Heck I even met my wife there! (She's from LA, but my buddy married her cousin from spokane)
