Default '03 touring 6mt lots of problems

Just brought my car in cuz it was grinding 3rd every time i downshift into it. Took a test drive witht he tech and he says "hes never heard of the problem" i grinded at least 10 times in the 5 minutes that i drove. service advisor says the "shop foreman" has to take a look? He hasnt called me back yet. The first time i told them about this problem was probably 2 years ago, they test drove and said no problems. wtf? And its been making the worst tranny whine ever- i probably have metal shavings of my transmission in in the fluid.

What pisses me off is the dealer (Acme nissan in NJ) acts liek they dont know anything when theyve done repairs before. I saw posts saying someone go 2 trans replaced + manager gave him 100k warranty? and this was probably 2 years ago. In order to get any kind of warranty repair, i had to show them the TSB and then they would admit to it. Otherwise, they would say they never heard of the problem before. This is what happened when i got my tire tire feathering fix. They said they didtn know about it, so i printed the TSB out and showed them.... A customer should not have to go through this much trouble just to get his car fixed for inherent problems.

Tire feathering- I replaced tires and got alignment once at 12k miles, now im at 29k im out of warranty since its past the 3 year mark, and my tires are roaring so much that i get a headache. They want ~700 dollars for tires and align? I called NNA and they say they cant do anythign about it since its past 3 years.

window realign- the window comes down eveyr time i close the door. The most annoying thing ever. i have extended warranty and they were going to charge me 90 dollars to realign so i said forget it dont do it. I call NNA and they probably called the dealer or something so they told me to bring it back in. I bring it in and they are like yea its 90 dollars. I'm like, are you kidding me... last time i said no to the 90 dollars and now you call me in to fix it and you still want 90 dollars? do they think i like driving to the dealer every week? so then the advisor talks to his manager and is like well cover it at no charge... NOT HAPPY.

Sorry for all the complaints, but for just another post on how bad nissan service and reliability is. I plan on selling the car after my new trans (if they are even goign to do it) - no more nissans ever....

wonder why they don't honor your extended warranty for the front tires and alignment issue? it would still be worth it even with a insurance deductable IMO. Both my power window regulators were replaced since i bought my 03....
don't they have at least a one year warranty for the parts?
personally i would never buy any extended warranty for a car purchase.

the advisor said the only warranty on the alignment was the one nissan issued to all 350z owners. the 3 year/unlimited miles one. and now that its 3.5 years so they wont fix it. What i dont understand is why the problem keeps coming back every 12k+ miles. they probably jsut slapped a new pair of tires on and didnt realign so somethign liek this would happen and htey can make money.

Try to take it to another dealer, usually in the regional forums people post about good dealerships to go to.

my front tires were replaced at 7k miles and frontend realigned....they seem to be holding up currently at 20k+ miles.

keep trying on the trans, isnt there a 5 year 60k warranty on drivetrain? I got my trans replace on my 03 last year, they tried a few things, I had to take it in 3 times, but its great now. I also had the windows done under warranty, but the passenger side is just now starting to act up again after only about a year.... I still love the car though, wouldnt trade it for anything (ok maybe the new M coupe that will be out this summer, or a viper, or a 06 ZO6,)
