I bought my 03 touring with 6K two years ago for $27,000. There is a local dealer with the same car/year/color today aksing $24,000 but it has 32K miles...I only have 20K on my redline/frost. Yeah I have feathering but everything else is great...still turns heads. But then again I live in the midwest!

A car is a car, it is meant to be driven. We aren't driving Porsches, Lamborghinis, Bentleys, but Nissans. Our engines will last a long time since Nissan/Infiniti uses this engine in their top cars. If you worry too much about the value, get a used car next time and you won't have to worry this little thing. I bought a Corolla to drive to work 1.5 years ago for $5K, recently I sold it for $4.4K, so I lost $600 using it for one and a half year. If you don't plan to own your car for a while, your better off leasing it. As for the movie, our Z is no Supra. A turbo Supra sold new were $40K+, and they didn't make too much back then. They had more MR2s than Supras, I know this because I owned a MR2 in the mid 90s. At the dealership, I went there for maintenance at least 10 times, I rarely see more than 2 Supras. I hope my Z value goes up, but I doubt it. Time to drive, time to shave off more value of my Z.
