Yes, I searched! But I'm paranoid/****, so i had to ask ...

I got a (used) pop charger and installed it yesterday. Everything when fine, engine is much more "growly" and its quite pleasant, especially above 4000rpms. However, when I stab at the gas (go from no throttle to 3/4 very quickly) there is a "squeak" sound. It sounds like metal on metal. I have checked everywhere around the popcharger and heat shield and it doesn't seem to be hitting on anything.

So am I crazy? Feel free to flame if I'm an idiot and its just supposed to sound like that

 

Sounds like the usual whistle that the popcharger has.

 

If you refer to the quick whistle, its normal. Most people love that sound. Once when I redlined 1st and shifted to 2nd, it did that and sounded like a blow-off valve.

 

It's not a squeak sound. It's a whistle the popcharger makes when it sucks in the air. It's normal, so don't worry about it.

Ok, thanks all. It just didn't sound quite "right". Some people have compared it to a turbo sound, and since my last car was an SRT4, and it didn't sound like that ...

 

Hey quick question Is the KNN short ram practically the same as the popcharger?
