Scratches
Hey, I just bought a used 05' at the dealer about 2 weeks ago. I told them not to wash the car and they still washed it
.
The worst thing is, this weekend I had time to wash it and I just noticed a bunch of deep scratches (like a rash) along the passenger window, roof, and pillar. I did not remember seeing that when I bought the car, im sure I would have noticed it.
Is there anything I can do by bringing it back to the dealer? Do they have a car d with all the defects on it before they washed it? If the chances are slim on me getting anything done, then I won't because I need a car for work and chances are I would have to take a day off to go to the dealer.
I've never been in this situation, so anything help would be appreciated!!

Take photos and take the car back to the dealership and speak to your salesman IMMEDIATELY. Become violently ill and leave work if you have to but the more time you spend with the car out of their site, the more they will try to deny it was their fault and imply that it was something you have done. Dont blow your top before you have a calm discussion about your concerns. See what they have to say, if what they say sux, or, if as a customer you are less than satisfied with their resolution then blow your top.
you might get them to do something if you b!tch enough, however they don't really have to. thats why you go over your car with a fine toothed comb before driving it off the lot. one of those papers they have you sign indicates that you found the car to be in satisfactory condition unpon delivery and that the dealer is no longer responsible for any inccidental damage. good luck.
On a side note, I was just at Pep Boys today buying a bottle of the Turtle Wax Ice and noticed a product there in an Orange bottle called scratch remover or something. Never tried it myself but I heard it works if the scratches are not deep. If the dealer route doesn't work, I'd buy a bottle of this and apply and try having the scratches buffed out.
