z problems!
Dr. BonZ, best answer. You won the chance to "wax" my Z
I've owned about a dozen Sports Cars. From Triumph Spitfires through a couple Porsches, ending in my Lotus. I miss their FUN factor. SOOOOOO, I ordered a Z. Can't wait. Flaws? My Lotus was slammed in all tests. Limmy POS etc. WELL....It was a BLAST to DRIVE
Slow 0-60, yes. Doing 80 in a 30 mph corner?
Didn't have any cupholders. Only one stinking Glove Box. Shifter only shook.....most of the time.
Cheap interior? 100% pure Vinyl. WalMartgrade plastic center counsel.......Beautiful Booked Carpathian Elm dash. Interior water leaks? Lucas electrics! Shoot, the steering wheel was on the wrong(right) friggin side!
NOTHING IS PERFECT. (except moi
)
Gotta move on with my life....I made a choice, glad It is getting rave reviews. I can't wait to USE 287 HP (BTW, mine WILL have 288)cool:
I do not remember anyone posting that they were forced to order.

I can only say this...mouse fart in a windstorm.
Come on folks, don't you know why the 12V accessory adapter is located there?
Imagine the attached filled with...BEER!
Enforcer
P.S. Don't drink and drive, that IS stupid. This is just to keep it cool until you get home

Having had the opportunity to actually sit in the car I can say the following.........
I saw the brushed aluminum..
I felt the soft leather....
I heard the roar of the 287HP....
I touched the smoothe shifter..
I smelled the new rubber of the 18" tires..
I tasted the double latte from the cupholder...
(OK... so there was no double latte in the cupholder)
But all in all...every sense was pleased...trust me when I say you will love this car

I too sat in the car. I was not disappointed. Yes, the front cupholder seemed a bit flimsy, but the rear ones are heavy duty. I really liked the interior. Man, when I look at those old videos of the early 240Zs and that tacky pleated vinyl on the doors... we've come a LONG WAY, baby!
And JDZ: Your visual image of mini-me serving drinks on the strut brace had me laughing out loud!

since all of those "problems" are meerly eccentricities of a sports car as opposed to any true problem I dont worry too much about them, rather what I DO worry about is the weight. I'm thinking the car should have been about two hundred pounds lighter. In fact I would have rather had less Hp than to have extra weight, since its easier to add hp than it is to take off weight.
here are my answers:
1. yea..for some people, not me
2. does matter, many other place to put stuff
3. really? but is alright. i have seen worst, and i didn't mind
4. i am sure it would be better than my car now
5. if it is broken, just get another one. i am sure the price for that piece of plastic won't cost hundreds of dollars.
6. what is the definition of "cheap"? cheap looking? or cheap material? personally, i love it
7. well, if there are anyone sitting in my car, i wont be using that cup holder...in fact, the only person that can drink is me
1) Doorsills too high for some people
2) no glovebox
3) vibrations through gearbox at certain rpm
4) doesnt take bumps very good (forgot where i read that)
5) flimsy box (where nav. goes)
6) cheap interior look
7) cup holder next to knee can be broken if driver moves his/her leg (i persoanlly think this is dumb to talk about, but it is something i wanted to bring to your attention)
8) rear view is very limited.

I don't know what "damped" means but it sounds good. Also I think that sounds like they are talking about the nav lid to me.

Don't worry Pat, she isn't an option, she comes standard! You need to bang your knee on the cupholder really hard and this opens up the secrect compartment in the back behind the spare tire and she pops right out.
Unfortunately she is standard on all models except the base. But you base buyers don't need to feel left out. Here is the version you guys get!......................................
